The Malta Guide Dog Association has just welcomed Zara, a trained and qualified dog who will be assisting a visually impaired person. Thomas Smith’s Airfreight team assisted with Zara’s journey from Melbourne, Australia.
Hon. PRO Malcolm Naudi said “Thomas Smith was efficient, and provided a great service. We are very satisfied with the attention to detail and assistance provided by the team.”
Luca Taliana accompanied Zara on this journey. Luca has returned Australia, after he successfully completed a two-year course, on behalf of the Malta Guide Dogs Foundation, qualifying as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor and Orientation and Mobility Specialist. The programme consisted of both theory and practice in puppy raising, guide dog assessment and training, and finally client and guide dog training.
